Every round, once betting closes, lightning strikes 1 to 5 numbers and gives each a multiplier from 50× to 500×. A straight-up bet that wins on one of those numbers is paid its multiplier; on any other number it pays 29:1 rather than the 35:1 of standard roulette. Every other bet pays the usual odds. A new set of Lucky Numbers is struck every round, 1 to 5 of them. In Scoreo's record more than half of the rounds struck three numbers and about a third struck two; four or five were rare.
